Purpose & Impact

The EIRC is a multi-actor centre focused on the innovative development of ‘high value-added technologies/products/processes from natural resources’ and ‘low environmental impact processing/growth methods’. Sustainable solutions for the development of the Marine, Agriculture, Forestry and Food sectors, and ‘green’ chemistry for bio-pesticides and pharmaceutical synthesis, require a collaborative approach. Eco-Innovation Research at SETU is uniquely supported across this broad range of disciplines.

EIRC research focuses primarily on sustainability, protection and promotion of the environment, ensuring the future sustainability of our Agriculture, Forestry, Food, Wildlife and the Marine domains.
